After years of dedicated service, Mrs. Shannon English has announced her retirement which will begin at the end of this school year. We invite you to join us in extending best wishes to Mrs. English in her well-deserved retirement!
As we bid farewell to Mrs. English, we are excited to introduce the new Principal of St. Michael’s School, Mr. Ron Pisoni. Mr. Pisoni is the current Vice-Principal of St. Patrick’s School, and will officially assume the role of Principal of St. Michael’s School in the 2024-2025 school year.
Mr. Pisoni as been a part of our division family since 2002. He began teaching at St. Mary’s School and moved to Notre Dame Academy in 2006 where he taught for 14 years until he began his role as Vice- Principal of St. Patrick’s School in 2020.
Ron was born and raised in Medicine Hat and grew up attending Medicine Hat Catholic Schools. He has been married for 30 years and is a proud father of two daughters. In his spare time he is involved with Holy Family Parish as a Knight's of Columbus member, Eucharistic Minister and Altar Server coordinator. Early in his education, Mr. Pisoni’s very first teaching practicum was at St. Michael's School, making this transition feel as if it is a homecoming. He is very excited to get to know the parents, students and staff of this wonderful school.
We believe that Mr. Pisoni's dedication to the Catholic faith, passion for education, and collaborative spirit will further enhance the spiritual and academic journey of our students. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact Mr. Pisoni will have on the St. Michael’s School community.
Please join us in congratulating Mr. Pisoni!
